Private: Teacher’s Day Celebration, Thursday, 5th September 2019, Nabagram, Jnan Bharati High – Tech English Learning Centre
By Team SLATO & Team Krishworks
Today I will share you a story, based on my last experience on Teacher’s Day, this year. The birth date of the second president of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, 5th September 1888, has been celebrated as Teacher’s Day since 1962.
In an awesome morning, Jnan Bharati School started its Teacher’s Day program. The program was started with the opening song “Sikkyar Alo”. The ex-headmaster of Nabagram Moyna Pulinbihari High School, Mr Hillol Goswami took over as president and started the program by giving a speech, importance of the day, 5th September. Former joint education officer of West Bengal government Md Mohsin took over the chair of chief guest. Rural panchayat secretary, B.D.O, councillor, educators, assistant engineer of West Bengal government, guardians were present there and gave their valuable speeches.
The whole program was conducted by three kids anchors, Arkodip Saha, Souradip Mondal, Nilesh Lal Rana and their respected teacher, Subhamoy Ghosh.
The principal, Mr Pabitra Sinha Roy is giving speech
Let’s Move on with the Program
At the very beginning, the principle, Pabitra Singha Roy greeted everyone and gave an important speech on the importance of the day. And then Faria Sk, Habiba Khatun and their team sang a greeting song. Agni Nandi, from class four, hold the mike and expressed few words about the importance of the day. Gradually the program was moved forward by students speech (by Abhra Sen, Rupam Samanta and others), a poem (by Sanket Bhagat), students self-introduction (by Sayanatan Saha, Aktar and their team), dance (by Aaivee Mitra), role-play (by Sandip Mandi and others), dramatic poem “Welcome Little Traveller” (Ananya, Samadrita and Ankita and their team), “Do you have a pet?” and many other events. They performed a very nice and interesting song “Taare Zameen Par”.
Krishworks Collaboration
When the program reached its mid-time, Krishworks Hi-Tech English Class made it more pomp and grandeur. The students who are studying in Jnan Bharati as well as in Krish works Hi-Tech English Class participated in various activities, where the different nuance is that the kids exceeded their teachers’ expectations what the learnt in their class while performing better on the stage. The whole mechanism was illustrated by the co-founder of Krishworks, Mr Subhajit Roy, how they help rural kids to read, write and communicate in English by training local educated youths and supporting them with technology. Especially he wanted to express what Krishworks Technology does to build up the English Speaking ability by various activities. The students who are studying in Hi-Tech English class participated in many events. Actually, the kids are very confident while they were taking part in activities on the stage.
All the activities were in English completely. The thing which attracted me the most is that the kids’ anchoring style, where they three poured their energy in anchoring and made the stage a real-life junction, all their words came out spontaneously. Let’s have a look at how they performed.
Togetherness of the teachers and students
Teacher’s Day is to celebrate a day for one’s Guru or teacher and show respect and honour his contribution and achievements. This is the day when the students get a day to thank their teachers for the hard work and sacrifices they make for the betterment of their students. A teacher is a guiding soul who helps us to show the path of a bright future and also guides us to reach towards it.
Teacher’s day is also a way to thank those unknown teachers who directly or indirectly helped in the development of the country through their constant dedication and hard work.
Teacher’s Day at Jnan Bharati was mainly conducted by the kids themselves. All teachers’ were honoured one by one with a nosegay and cute gift from kids’ hand. Some of their honourable teachers took the mike and gave their own speech on the importance of the day, but also they kept some momentous words on a student’s life journey, what mesmerised us all. It was actually a gala day where the teachers and students got together as parents and kids
Closing the Program
Now all the parts of the event were covered. The knowledge of education was transferred to the students from their endearing teachers. We all got inspired a lot today. It was a reversible process what the teachers expressed something on a student’s life journey and the kids showed them back the same what their teachers want. They showed their hard works, eagerness, disciplines, manners.
It’s 4.30 p.m, at the eleventh hour, the kids who are studying in Hi-Tech English Class were called on the stage and they sang “We shall overcome” in a chorus voice. In the twilight, the principal called it a day by giving a big thank to all the audiences.
Objective of the program
The program had two different intentions, the first one is to celebrate “Teacher’s Day” and the second one is to show the audience kids’ performance. How the kids are learning, how they are performing, how their reflection on society through learning Hi-Tech English. Jnan Bharati School put up their all potentials and strengths into the program to make it significant. And they successfully did it.
My own words
First of all, I want to give a big thank to Pabitra Babu, the principle of Jnan Bharati Hi-Tech English for organizing such a nice ceremony on Teacher’s Day, then the others who made the event like a gala day, Subhamoy sir, Souradip and his friends, also to everybody who was present in this event.
From my inner heart, I would like to say that it’s an amazing viewing experience. The organizer of the program not only made the stage perfect but also the audience space. The program became spiffy when the kid anchors came on the stage and started showing their potentiality.
Coming to Krishworkslounge, the lovesome kids who are studying in this class performed as I had never seen before. Their eagerness, performance, speaking ability, above all these, their confidence to speak in English turned me to be fascinated. Later, on asking them I came to know that Krishworks runs a Hi-Tech English Class, where the class conducts through a digital system by a trained teacher to help kids to read, write and communicate in English in a gamified way.
After having today’s liv experience and the keywords what they told me about Krishworks Hi-Tech English Class, I decided to enrol my son in this class.
Thank you!
